Survey confirms high level of interest in Homeopathy and CAM in the UK

A third of people surveyed were open to trying Homeopathy or other alternative therapies. The survey of 2000 people conducted by OnePoll found that the average Brit will spend more than £65,000 over their lifetime looking after their health & wellbeing and would  consider homeopathy as part of their healthcare package.

4Homeopathy commissioned a health survey to explore the attitudes and spending habits of Brits towards their health. It's clear that large numbers of us are willing to invest in our wellbeing and there is an increasing openness to trying complementary therapies including homeopathy.

The survey found that a third of adults would consider using complementary or homeopathic alternatives for an ailment in the future, and one in six are already using alternative methods to help with their illness.

These results reveal the shift in public awareness towards living healthier lifestyles, eating well and getting regular exercise as natural ways of combatting stress and disease. Homeopathy fits perfectly into this integrated model of health and will appeal to people who are looking for a complementary approach that treats individuals and will work alongside conventional medicine.

Mani Norland, Principal at The School of Homeopathy says "This is good news for students and graduates who are making the transition of stepping into the homeopathic profession. To know that a good cross-section of the public are open to exploring alternative treatments gives graduates the confidence to establish and grow a homeopathic practice."

4H are encouraging Brits to explore alternative avenues of healthcare, especially if traditional routes are causing anxiety or are proving ineffective. The research was conducted by 4Homeopathy, in support of Homeopathy Awareness Week (10-16th April).
